For the July 8 meeting, RMCF will host Brian Thomas, Speaker and Science Writer from the Institute for Creation Research. Brian Thomas received his bachelor's degree in biology in 1993 and a master’s in biotechnology in 1999 from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas. He taught junior high and high school at Christian schools in Texas, as well as biology, chemistry, and anatomy as an adjunct and assistant professor at Dallas-area universities.
Since 2008, Mr. Thomas has been a science writer and editor at ICR, where he contributes news and magazine articles, speaks on creation issues, and researches original tissue fossils. Many of you will recognize him for his frequent articles in the Acts and Facts newsletter from ICR, as well as journal articles on Dinosaur soft tissue. He is the author of Dinosaurs and the Bible and a contributor to Guide to Creation Basics, Creation Basics & Beyond, Guide to Dinosaurs, and Guide to the Human Body. Brian will speak on the topic, “Two Dinosaur Timers.” Our secular culture scoffs at the idea that dinosaurs lived anywhere near the timespan of man. But even scoffing researchers should begin to feel uncomfortable about standard age ideas after they understand two timers that still tick in dinosaur and other fossils. On the other hand, Bible believers can feel more confident than ever in the reliability of Genesis by understanding these two timers.
