For the April 8, 2016 Meeting, we are fortunate to have a return engagement with Mr. Frank Sherwin of the Institute for Creation Research in Dallas. Members may recall the several presentations Frank gave during our annual Creation Weekend Celebration at RMCF and at Horizon Christian Fellowship in October, 2011.
Frank received his bachelor's degree in biology from Western State College, Gunnison, Colorado, in 1978. He attended graduate school at the University of Northern Colorado, where he studied under the late Gerald D. Schmidt, one of the foremost parasitologists in America. In 1985, Mr. Sherwin obtained a masters degree in zoology. He published his research in the peer-reviewed Journal of Parasitology. He contributes his scientific expertise to a variety of ICR's publications on creation science: He is the author of Guide to Animals and The Ocean Book, and co-author of The Fossil Record: Unearthing Nature's History of Life and The Human Body: An Intelligent Design, and is one of ICR's most sought-after speakers.
Frank plans to talk about God’s amazing insects.
The insects belong to the largest group of animals in the world, the arthropods. There is no indication they evolved from non-insects. Mr. Sherwin shows not only that according to the fossil record insects have always been insects, but he gives a number of examples of fascinating insects today.
Some of Frank’s books will be available at our book table. Don’t miss this great opportunity. Refreshments will be served.
