Mr. Brian Catalucci: Why Information is Fatal to Evolution When: Friday, October 13, 2023, 07:00pm Where: 1400 W Caley Ave Littleton, Colorado

For our October meeting, we are excited to welcome back Mr. Brian Catalucci. He will be speaking on the topic 'Why Information is Fatal to Evolution'. For over a century, Christians have looked for the scientific silver bullet to ultimately destroy Darwinian evolution, and confirm Biblical Creation. Christians know from God’s revealed, infallible Word how the universe, the earth, and all life came into being: God spoke them into existence. This is written in Genesis 1, Exodus 20:11, and Hebrews 11:3. The Scriptures alone refute Darwinian evolution, yet in a world where secular researchers reject the supernatural and divine revelation, many Christians feel compelled (as they should) to provide some empirical (observable, repeatable) evidence that supports the Bible’s claim. The most powerful evidence supporting the Biblical account of creation is the entity of information. Other great evidence exists in our world, but they all rest on the information foundation. Without information, the universe and life itself would not exist. 

Following a 36-year career as a pilot and captain with a major airline, Brian earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Colorado. After finding Jesus Christ, he then entered Christian service. Although Brian had been raised in a Christian home, he attended public schools where evolution was taught as the origin of mankind. While pursuing his graduate degree, he realized that information is the building block of the entire universe. But where did that information come from, he wondered? The laws of science, computer algorithms, and information systems used in mankind's inventions already existed in nature before people figured out how to use them. For the first time in his life, Brian really believed in a Creator God through whom all that information came into being. For ten years, Brian served as president of Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship in Denver, Colorado, where he delivered biblically based presentations on creation. In that role, he worked closely with Answers in Genesis (AiG) and the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) to bring highly qualified speakers on creation topics to the Denver area. Brian served with Answers in Genesis for over 10 years as an adjunct speaker, traveling throughout the United States and other countries teaching Christians the truth about creation and refuting the lie and errors of evolution. He also equips the saints to effectively defend their faith with ease, appearing as a guest on TV and radio programs that feature biblical creation and science topics such as the book of Genesis, dinosaurs, aliens and UFOs, ancient man, and our nation's founding fathers. Married to his wife Lise for over 44 years and residing in Colorado, Brian is currently working on a PhD in Christian Theology and Apologetics.
