Mr. Rich Cloud - Examining How the Holy Spirit may have Guided the Writing of Genesis by Moses

When: Friday, March 11, 2022, 07:00pm
Where: 1400 W Caley Ave Littleton, Colorado

RMCF welcomes for the first time Mr. Rich Cloud, the co-founder and director of Pikes Peak Creation Fellowship in Colorado Springs. Rich will be speaking on the tropic "Examining How the Holy Spirit may have Guided (superintended, carried along, directed) the Writing of Genesis by Moses".  A key understanding for the book of Genesis is the acceptance of Mosaic authorship of both this book plus the entire Pentateuch. During the past 200 years some Christian and secular scholarship has challenged this view by raising various objections. These objections include multiple issues - the factual content in Genesis (especially chapters 1 to 11), the original source material of Genesis, the nature and timing for Moses’ writing of Genesis and even calling into question the capability of Moses to have written Genesis (i.e., Moses not the author).

The Toledoth-Tablet (TT) view of how Moses may have written Genesis provides an understanding of Mosaic authorship, which meets two basic criteria for his authorship and the Truth content of this book. 1 – this view is consistent with the what the entirety of Scripture has confirmed about Mosaic authorship of Genesis and how this could have occurred. 2 – this TT view provides a reasonable explanation of how Mosaic authorship via this method would readily respond to the objections made - source material, historical timing and content, plus the capability of Moses to write the entire Pentateuch.

Rich Cloud worked his entire 39-year career in multiple engineering and/or research laboratories. He retired as a senior research scientist from Nalco Co./ Ecolab where he managed a microscopy & materials laboratory for 29 years. His work involved utilizing various microscopic techniques to analyze solids formation plus assisting in metallurgical failure analyses. He was also primary analyst for all non-metals, material science applications (failures & evaluations). Prior to Ecolab he worked at two other engineering centers to help develop various non-metal, material applications in the automotive industry.

Rich obtained a BS in Chemistry along with seven additional graduate level courses in chemistry, material science & microscopy.

Rich and his wife Sheryl moved to Colorado 8+ years ago in retirement. He is a co-founder and director of Pikes Peak Creation Fellowship in Colorado Springs.
