RMCF is privileged to have as our April speaker, Dr. John P. Jackson, the Director of Research for theTurin Shroud Center of Colorado. In addition to conducting Shroud research, Dr. John Jackson has taught at the university level for many years. In 1978, when interest in the Shroud was at its height, Dr. Jackson led a large team of international scientists to Turin where they, under the auspices of the Shroud of Turin Research Project (STURP), examined the Shroud for a week. No one since has secured such full access to the cloth. Significant amounts of different scientific data were extracted. Jackson became the primary custodian of this data and, along with his scientific team in Colorado, he has continued the work of Shroud research ever since.
