On Friday, March 11th at 7 PM, Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship is privileged to have as its March monthly speaker, Dr. Dan Korow from the Alpha Omega Institute (AOI). Dr. Dan Korow earned a BS degree in Biology from the University of Akron and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Ohio State University in 1990. After more than seven years of small animal practice in Akron, Ohio, he and his wife Andrea moved to Grand Junction, CO in early 1998.
They soon met Dave and Mary Jo Nutting, founders of AOI, and realized God’s call on their lives to share with others the love of their Creator, Jesus Christ. Dan joined the staff of the AOI in September of 1998. They are now raising financial support and ministering full time nationwide. He has given a variety of seminars suitable for all ages. Dr Korow has spoken at RMCF twice in the past and we have enjoyed his presentations. AOI is a non-profit ministry founded in 1984 and is dedicated to strengthening Christians and reaching unbelievers by exposing the fallacies of evolution. The Institute defends the literal, historical and scientific accuracy of the Bible. AOI also helps believers understand the foundational importance of the book of Genesis to all Christian doctrine, especially our need for a Savior, Jesus Christ. The title of Dr. Korow’s talk is: What is the Biblical View of Stem Cell Research and Cloning? Stem Cell Research ... Cloning… What is all the big fuss about? Can't we just ignore these issues and hope they'll go away? Find out why this is a life or death matter at this session.
Dr. Daniel G. Korow of Alpha Omega Institute (AOI) will share what stem cells are, how they are tied to cloning and what is the Biblical perspective. This RMCF presentation is suitable for both teens and adults. Dr. Korow will address the issues of using adult stem cells and those taken as embryonic stem cells. Do you really know what the word adult means? Current research has found that adult stem cells show high medical promise whereas embryonic stem cells not only kill small, developing human beings, they don't work nearly as well as adult stem cells.
Invite friends, neighbors or coworkers to this one! Many people are fascinated and intrigued by this timely and controversial topic. There is no cost to attend and free refreshments will be served after the meeting. The RMCF library will be available at the March meeting and is free to all RMCF members. We have more than 150 interesting videos to lend.
